HUNTSVILLE, AL,, January 29, 2026. Strata-G Solutions and the Aleut Corporation (Aleut) announced a planned leadership transition at Aleut’s wholly owned subsidiary, Strata-G Solutions. John Vannoy is stepping down as President. His decision comes with the full support of Aleut, and a coordinated transition plan is in place to ensure no disruption for Strata-G’s customers across the organization.

During his five-year tenure, Vannoy guided Strata-G through disciplined growth and strategic diversification, laying the foundation for sustained long-term success. Under his leadership, Strata-G expanded its customer base, secured new contracts, established new drone manufacturing capabilities, and invested in critical aviation infrastructure to support future operations.

Leadership Transition: Colonel (Ret.) Calvin J. Lane

Calvin J. Lane will serve as President of Strata-G Solutions while also serving as CEO of Strata-G Aleut Holding Company. Lane currently serves as Executive Vice President of Operations at Strata-G Solutions and has more than 20 years of large-scale aviation production, acquisitions, and organizational leadership experience across the U.S. Army and international community.

A retired U.S. Army Colonel and Senior Army Aviator, Lane was previously a Project Manager for Utility Helicopters, where he led a 600-person organization responsible for a $10 billion portfolio of aircraft and equipment. His ability to lead large, complex organizations with discipline and focus positions Strata-G for enduring strength as the company continues to expand its workforce, customer base, and capabilities.
